On Thursday 16th July, SWWIC were joined by Services Design Solutions in a webinar on net zero building design.
We discussed how the UK is now on track to be “nearly Zero Carbon” by 2050 but how can we design and build buildings to help tackle the climate crisis?
With more and more organisations seeking to reduce their carbon footprint, we explored the principles of net zero building design, brought to life with case studies and practical examples.
Mechanical Engineer Kate Fry, and Building Physics Engineer Simon Deacon, discussed how Services Design Solution are delivering zero carbon schemes across the south west, focusing on what practical changes can be made to reduce the carbon emissions from heating, lighting, and running the buildings.
