Emma Martin

Treasurer

Emma has been a member of SWWIC for almost 10 years and a committee member since 2015. Emma first took on the role of Treasurer from 2015 to 2017, handing it over while she went on maternity leave to have her daughter in 2018.

Emma gained her degree in Quantity Surveying on a distance learning basis from the University College of Estate Management in 2012 and became a chartered member of the Royal institution of Chartered Surveyors in 2015. Emma is now a Senior Quantity Surveyor at Arcadis working on a number of interesting housing schemes across the South West. Emma has been lucky enough to have worked on some fascinating high profile projects throughout her career including a new footbridge at Tintagel and The Box, Plymouth’s exciting new Museum.

Emma is passionate about promoting Construction as an engaging and dynamic career choice for young people and uses her time as a STEM ambassador to raise awareness of the variety of roles available.

Outside of work Emma enjoys her time walking in the country with her family and cycles many miles a week on an indoor bike!!
