Kate Mills

Vice Chair

Kate has been a member of SWWIC for 10 years and during her tenure as Vice-Chair she will be supporting the Chair, Glayne Price of LHC Architects.

After gaining her degree at the University of Exeter, she work for many years in various sales and marketing roles with large FMCG companies before her return to the West Country in 2005. For Kate, working in the construction industry means no two days are ever the same. A bit like her support for SWWIC, as she provides the marketing and management of events.

SWWIC is a professional network of women, working across the construction industry. They host a wide range of activities from site visits, presentations and informal networking. A primary aim of the organisation is to raise awareness of careers in construction and opportunities available to women in the industry.

One of their most recent events was a site visit to the new Plymouth History Centre, where WWA is providing project management services. This visit provided a behind the scenes look at how this landmark project is becoming a reality.
