After graduating with First Class Honours in Interior Design, Kay began her career working with both large multidisciplinary practices and smaller interior studios, experiences that shaped her creative vision and led to the launch of her own design practice: Studio KHid.
With over 25 years in the industry, she’s passionate about using design to create spaces that genuinely enhance how people live and feel and sharing her knowledge and experiences with the next generation of designers.
Beyond her studio work, Kay has co-hosted the Multi Story Thinking podcast, lectured at the University of Plymouth and Arts University Plymouth, and explored the South West’s finest holiday homes as a home critic.
Originally from Yorkshire, Kay now calls the South West home, where she loves coastal adventures with her twin boys and husband, and the occasional dip in Devon’s chilly waters
