SWWIC Breakfast with Lucinda Ingram from the Ladies Investing Club

SWWIC members came together for a brilliant breakfast event with Lucinda Ingram from the Ladies Investing Club, and it is safe to say we all learnt a lot.

Lucinda generously shared her time, energy and expertise, walking us through the basics of building wealth for retirement and future generations. The session offered a clear and accessible introduction to what is available, where to start, and some of the common barriers that can prevent people from taking the first step towards building long-term financial confidence.

There were plenty of valuable takeaways from the morning, including the reminder that it is never too late, or too early, to start. Lucinda also highlighted the importance of time, the power of compound interest and the fact that junior pensions are an option many people may not have previously considered.

Some of the timeline illustrations, particularly those relating to compound interest, were especially illuminating and sparked plenty of conversation in the room.

For anyone wanting to better understand how to provide for themselves and future generations, we would highly recommend exploring the free resources available from the Ladies Investing Club, as well as keeping an eye out for their upcoming events, including their brunch on 26 June.

A huge thank you goes to Lucinda for sharing such an interesting and thought-provoking session with us. We are very grateful for her generosity and insight.

Thank you also to Kit and Jason for being brilliant as always, and to Foot Anstey for hosting us once again. We really appreciate their continued support.

Next in the SWWIC calendar is our Spring Breakfast and AGM on 14 May at The Dock. We will be recapping the last year, looking ahead to the year to come and announcing our new charities for the next two years.

We hope to see you there.
