West Carclaze Garden Village is one of the first new Garden Villages in a generation, enhanced with 21st Century technologies, thinking and ideas, and developed in sympathy and harmony with existing communities and local culture. When fully realised it will contain 1500 homes, infrastructure and associated facilities including education, commercial and retail spaces.
The vision for West Carclaze Garden Village will be that of a ‘Village of Gardens’ carefully woven into the green infrastructure and landscape. The development has been informed by a landscape-led masterplan approach that draws on the Garden City principles and respects and responds to the natural landscape of the Clay Country. The Garden Village will promote sustainable, healthy, active and inclusive lifestyles. The first phase of the development brings forward infrastructure works alongside the construction of 163no houses of varying size and scale ranging from 2 bed bungalows to 4 bed detached houses as well as 2 and 3 bed terraced and semi-detached homes.
With the infrastructure works commencing in August 2020, the first houses were occupied in early 2022 and since then the development has grown from strength to strength – and the landscape is finally coming into its own! You will be hosted by Ecobos and LHC Design who will provide a general overview of the scheme before taking a stroll around the development to see how things have progressed.Don’t forget! You are welcome to bring along guests – all are welcome!
