We were so lucky to be hosted by Ilsington Country House Hotel & Spa on Dartmoor for this year’s Women with Influence Lunch!
The afternoon kicked off in style with a drinks reception kindly sponsored by Steve Warren-Brown at YGS Landscapes. After a chance to catch up with new and old friends, we were treated to an outstanding lunch which was thoroughly enjoyed by everyone.
Our wonderful speaker, Kate Webb of Orbis Expeditions, gave an insightful and emotive view of her work across Africa. She talked about the skills of: Adaptability, Congruence and Resilience that she and the women she works with have gained through experience and enables them to move forward. There were many questions about the expeditions Kate creates that are focused on ‘travel with purpose’ and making a long-term positive impact on places and people. The afternoon was capped off with a raffle and an array of prizes ranging from handmade cushions to afternoon tea! A big thank you to our generous donators!
As one of our biggest events of the year we are delighted to have raised significant funds for our chosen charities – Children’s Hospice South West and Cornwall Air Ambulance!
