with guest speaker, Kate Webb of Orbis Expeditions.
Kate has spent the past 15 years running an expedition company in Malawi specialising in impactful travel experiences. Prior to this she lived and worked in rural East Africa running eco-lodges and working to establish ecotourism initiatives with local communities.
She is passionate about the positive effects tourism can have on emerging destinations and in particular collaborations between women through tourism and business. She is a strong believer in the power of resilience and adaptability and her time in Africa and connecting with women in business in the UK has taught her that two minds are definitely more successful and impactful than one.
She thrives when meeting new people, gets inspired by making connections, and loves the challenge of putting together a programme of travel that pushes participants both physically and mentally to get their senses tingling!
Kate will be chatting about resilience and congruence and how these two attributes are key to business in Malawi and how this now translates to her life in the UK. She will share examples of her work in Malawi and showcase some of the women she is working with as well as the impact the travel experiences have on those who travel with her.
